Thanks, it's not my site and that is not possible there as they use a third part host.

What's a third part host?
Can phpBB be installed on that server?
PHP version?
Can a database backup be downloaded?

Reason?...currently lots of signs that it won't be possible and ATM no indication it could be possible,
