Hi there,
My forum is over at https://www.forums.jocu.cards
I preface this with the fact that I am not a developer. I installed PHPBB through the backend of Siteground's software (they manage my various websites) and so I have little experience with PHPBB and have not done a full manual install before, but feel I may soon have to due to an increase in issues on my small forum. The main ones are:
I'm pretty handy with computers in general - I customised and designed the forum as well as my various websites, so I'm familiar with the absolute basics of hosting and so on, and have access to Siteground's backend to make changes, but I'm very limited in this area and most of what I've achieved so far has been trial and error.
Thank you!

The main ones are:
- Recently Siteground updated all my sites to PHBPP 8.2. This caused the forum to go directly to a white screen, except for me as admin as I was already logged in and could still see everything. But for other users and guests it was dead. I rolled back to an older PHP version and this fixed the issue
- The forum has been active for just under a year, but recently has been invaded by spambots. Two or three a week I'd say. I'm not sure if this is related to the version or is just normal now that the site can be found online.
- Most troublingly, some threads now go to white screens and are inaccessible either to me or the creators. This seems to affect a random selection of threads, and I'm worried they are lost. One example is here: https://www.forums.jocu.cards/viewtopic.php?t=449
